Our First House

When we first started this whole process, we were told we would have to stay in a hotel for a week and then we could move into a house on base or even one off base. Upon our arrival, we discovered that we were actually unable to complete the process and move in within that time frame and instead it took a month. We made the on base hotel work alright but was a very far drive to work for Adam so we were relieved to finally receive a house and actually be able to start settling in.

I call this our industrial bomb shelter house as it is just that- but very efficient and clean! We will work on the aesthetics as we receive all our goods. We are still living out of our suitcases for now- our household goods should arrive this Friday but alas, history tells us to prepare for much later. Good thing we both are used to living in some grim conditions and we are far from that! I'll post before and afters of all of our projects- I'm getting quite ambitious so we'll see how all that goes. For now, all the photos we have are of our lives on this hotel cart and us in fron of our "first house." I ended up moving everything and Adam "supervised" as this was the night after our first ER visit (more on that later)- always an adventure! Drab to fab updates coming soon!
